About the Author

Mena Ruparel is a member of the Kings Counsel Appointments panel and an Independent Complaints Assessor for the DfT. She spent more than 20 years as a specialist family law solicitor, during which time she was also an examiner, lecturer and author of family law and ethics books. Karen Dovaston has specialised in family law since qualifying as a solicitor in 1995. She is Chair of The Law Society’s Family Law Committee, Vice Chair of the Forum of Family Arbitrators and assessor for the Law Society’s Family Law Micro-credential.
