Description

Residential Conveyancing Practice, 2nd edition A guide for support staff and paralegals
2nd edition

This crucial training manual gives support staff and paralegals a deeper understanding of the legal principles, regulations and good practice underlying residential conveyancing procedures and a sound grasp of the risks associated with their work.

This new edition deals with the stages and processes involved in residential conveyancing in a clear and practical way.  Transactions of leasehold and freehold titles are illuminated by clear and concise guidance from a leading academic lawyer with extensive experience teaching conveyancing to students and practitioners.

The most important risks and practice points are highlighted through:

  • examples drawn from practice,
  • best practice hints and tips, and
  • warnings of pitfalls.

Aligned to the requirements of the Law Society’s updated Conveyancing Protocol 2019, this book provides law firms and their staff with an invaluable aid to training, risk management and improving standards of competency and compliance.

Reference will be made to the standard form of contract incorporating the Standard Conditions of Sale, the TA forms used in residential conveyancing, common search forms (for example CON29 and CON29O), and relevant Law Society Practice Notes and Land Registry Practice Guides.
